The pictures are arranged by 9 differing professional fields, such as Craft, Industry, Visual Arts or Service Industry. The presented selection out of this long-term portrait study can be considered a first interim balance after 5 years of constant work on the project.

The authors are Canadian philosopher Mark Kingwell from the University of Toronto and Professor Harald Wenzel from the the John-F.-Kennedy-Institute for North American Studies, Berlin.
